Jingle has a tendency to forget hamsters' names, especially with Hamtaro calling him things like "Ham-n'-cheese," "Ham-n'-eggs," "Hambozo," and "Hamtaco". For this reason, Jingle only appeared in a handful of episodes at least when compared to the other 14 "main" Ham-Hams. However, the main anime series gave Jingle a unique portrayal he doesn't generally go on the Ham-Hams' adventures, instead choosing to wander on his own. In some of his earliest appearances - namely the Gozaimachu! manga series, Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite!, and the 1999 pilot episode - Jingle was a regular member of the Ham-Ham gang. In many cases, he gets the Ham-Hams' adventures completely derailed though in the end, Jingle's antics usually end up being helpful, to some extent. When Hamtaro and the other Ham-Hams meet up with him, he will often give them odd, confusing advice. He later befriends a pig named Herbert, who he rides on top of during his journeys. He always carries his guitar with him, occasionally playing a riff as he roams around. He is rather quiet and peaceful, and speaks with a soft whisper. Although he is officially part of the Ham-Ham Gang, he isn't present on most of their adventures he ventures on his own to travel the world, joined by his pig Herbert and his trusty guitar. That's a reference to the first game! Every time you met with a Ham-Ham and got them back to the Clubhouse (united them, you could say), the Ham and Hamtaro would do a very similar animation for this one, culminating in a unique victory jump from the ham in question before they headed back to base.Yū Asakawa Jingle ( トンガリくん) is a songwriting hamster. This cute little animation, from waaaay back when we first teamed up with Bijou. Hamtaro and Bijou's little victory cheer at the end of our boss fight reminded me of something! I don't have any good trivia related to this update, so I'm going to go back and give some trivia I forgot when it was relevant! His owner is an optometrist, and he loves the soft cloths used to clean glasses, but he doesn't have a pair of his own- they're just markings! He and Howdy are eternally fighting for Pashimna's heart. He and Dexter are eternal rivals for Pashmina's affection.ĭexter is a gentleman through and through, always looking dapper and ready to show off share his plethora of knowledge. ![]() He's fastidiously tidy and has a head for numbers despite what his hick accent would have you believe, and he's never seen without a clean apron. Howdy is a real wiseacre, he can crack off an awful joke or groan-inducing pun at a moment's notice, and tends to do so at the worst possible moments. Part 39: Meet the Hams Part VI + Ham-Hams Unite!
